Openai negotiates with Microsoft for new financing and futh IPO, reports FT

(Reuters) -Openai and Microsoft are rewriting the terms of their billionaire collaboration in a negotiation designed to allow the Maker Chatgpt to launch a future OIP, while protecting the giant’s access to the software to the avant -garde Ai models, the Financial Times reported Sunday.

A critical problem is the amount of equity of the new business in Openai’s mood, Microsoft will receive in exchange for more than $ 13 billion it has invested in the company so far, according to the report. He said that Microsoft offers to give up part of his participation in exchange for access to new technologies developed beyond the 2030 cut.

They are also reviewing the terms of a larger contract, for the first time when Microsoft initially invested a billion $ in Openai in 2019, according to the report.

Microsoft refused to comment on the report. Openai did not immediately respond to Reuters Requests.

Openai told investors that he would share a minor income fraction with his larger sponsor as he moves on with restructuring, reported the information last week.

In January, Microsoft changed some terms with an agreement with Openai after entering a joint company with Oracle and the Softbank group in Japan to accumulate up to $ 500 million from new artificial intelligence data centers in the United States.
