The Israeli Embassy in London was the goal of a plot of horror of Iranian nationals arrested by police against British terrorism on Saturday, according to people who know the investigation.

Five Iranians They were detained in coordinated arrests in England on Saturday, while three other Iranians were detained in London in a separate operation.

Until now, the UK authorities have not indicated that the suspects were being addressed, although Sunday Metropolitan Police said that investigation related to “an alleged plot to guide in specific premises.”

But the people who knew the investigation said on Wednesday that the five Iranians arrested throughout England were suspected of being part of a cell that was in the final stages of planning an attack on the Israeli embassy in Kensington in the west of London.

They indicated that the suspects could have been out of the execution of their plans when police intervened.

Security Minister Dan Jarvis on Tuesday Called the arrests “some of the greatest terrorism actions we have seen in recent times.”
