The United States, India and Pakistan said on Saturday that the two countries in South Asia had agreed to cease the fire to end their worst struggle in more than two decades.

United States President Donald Trump demanded credit for the agreement on a social media position.

“After a long night of US -mediated conversations, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have accepted a complete and immediate fire,” Trump wrote on his social social social networks portal. “Congratulations to the two countries for using common sense and great intelligence. Thank you for your attention on this topic!”

Pakistan was the first of two countries to confirm Trump’s statement. Ishaq Dar, Foreign Minister of Pakistan, wrote in a position on social media that the two countries had “accepted a ceasefire with immediate effects”.

“Pakistan has always struggled with peace and security in the region, without compromising his sovereignty and territorial integrity!”

India also said that it had agreed to stop the air war, which in recent days has seen the two countries light up to each other.

Vikram Misri, Foreign Minister of India, said in an informative session in New Delhi: “The Director General of Military Operations of Pakistan called the Director General of Military Operations of India at 15:35 in the afternoon.”

“It was agreed that both parties stop fighting and military actions on the earth and the air and the sea with effects from 17:00 hours today.”

He added: “The two parties have been instructed to give effect to this understanding.”
