The President of the University of Harvard, Alan Garber, will have a voluntary reduction of 25% of payments for the academic year that begins on July 1, said a spokesman for the school.
The reduction in compensation occurs when the oldest and richest North American University faces financial challenges after the Trump administration has frozen thousands of dollars in federal funds on the manipulation of school anti -Semitism and an alleged campus discrimination.
The United States terminated $ 450 million in Harvard Aid this week, after freezing $ 2.2 billion in funding. Harvard earlier this year announced a freezing in hiring.
The school did not specify their salary. By 2020, when he was provost, Garber was among the leaders who took a voluntary reduction of 25% during the Covid-19 pandemic.
