Devagiri, 30, Newport Beach, California, admitted to three others in 2020 and 2021 to defraud the San Francisco delivery company, according to federal prosecutors.

The prosecutors said that Devagiri used customer accounts to make high -value orders and then used an employee’s credential to access DOORDASS software and manually reassign the orders to the driver’s accounts he and others controlled. He then caused the fraudulent driver accounts to report that the orders had been delivered when they had not had it, and manipulated Doordash’s computer systems to pay fraudulent driver accounts for non -existent deliveries, according to officials.

Devagiri would use DOORDASS software to change the state’s orders of “delivery” to the state of “in process” and manually reassign the orders to the driver’s accounts that he and others controlled, starting the process again, according to prosecutors.

Devagiri is the third defendant who has been convicted of his role in this conspiracy. Two previously co-accused stated to blame for a conspiracy count for committing wire frauds, according to authorities.

Devagiri faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of $ 250,000. It is scheduled to return to court on September 16, 2025.
