Donald Trump said that the United States would stop their bombing campaign against Huthi’s goals at Yemen in response to the guarantees of the rebel group that would stop their attacks on the vessels in the region.

“The Houthis have announced … or they have announced us at least that they do not want to fight anymore,” said the President of the United States. “They just don’t want to fight, and we honor it, and we will stop the bombings and have capitulated.”

Trump spoke at the Oval Office as he met on Tuesday with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House. Trump is expected to travel to the Middle East next, with stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
